POST /releases/{release}/distribute

Distribute release

This endpoint is for submitting your release for distribution. Processing will begin as soon as your request is reviewed by our team. ⚠️ To configure or change your DSP's use the release update endpoint with the dsp_configs field.

• The release must be in a valid state to be distributed.
• The release will be reviewed before any distribution occurs.
• While the release is under review critical fields cannot be edited or resubmitted.

Weekly submission limit. When your account has a submission limit, each submission uses one slot for 7 days from the moment it is made; the window is rolling, not a fixed weekly reset. A submission opens a review cycle, and the counter reports the number of review cycles opened in the last 7 days, not the number of releases or of calls to this endpoint. Resubmitting a release that was returned for changes continues its open review cycle and does not use a new slot. When that cycle was opened more than 7 days ago, the resubmission is still refused while the account is at its limit. Any other submission opens a new cycle and uses a slot, including a new submission of a release that was already approved.

A successful response carries X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Reset headers. At the limit the endpoint returns 429 with error set to release_submission_limit_exceeded and a Retry-After header. Nothing is submitted. Retry after reset_at, or ask support for a higher limit.
